I took my ute in to ford today to fet a steering noise looked at, it mainly happens when turning left and sort of sonds like a shuddering noise. It can be fairly loud at times and its annoying the #*#* out of me. The dealer said that it was normal and it was just the relief valves but im not so sure! Has anyone out there had a similiar thing or can anyone shed some light on this for me. Thanks

mine is also doing it. Apparently you need to remove the powersteering cap to release the pressure and then drive around a carpark doing figure 8's.....well that is the crap that has been reported before on this forum :w00t2:

It seems to be air in the system. :spoton:

I did, early on, have power steering pump shudder. It has gone away by itself, unless ford done something I dont know about. But this only lasted for a little while... I doubt that it is normal though.

I have just noticed the same thing in the last couple of days and didn't think much of it until I seen this topic. Will keep an eye on this topic to see what further info has been added, and also give my car a few weeks and see how many times it does it, before I take it to the ford dealer.

check the outer swaybar linkages, they can snap, the bar flails around and gives a really loud clunk from the front. The bar can also then rub on the inside of your rim...It's quite loud, you can even hear it over the driveline shunt..... :censored:

happened to me with 4000K's on the T.
