Forgot the mention that cost will be $50 for 2 power runs.

Bit steep. $50 x 50 cars = $2500. A nice little earner.

Wasn't this supposed to be so that potential customers could see the value of your new dump pipe and exhaust system?

Geea. :glad:

Mate, dynos don't grow on trees you know! They cost tens of thousands of dollars to buy and set up and then there's maintenance. :o Then there's the other workshop costs such as wages, power etc. The guy is in business to make money, not a charity. He could probably make that money in an hour fitting exhausts to XR6Ts instead of having the shop packed out with Dyno Queens all morning. :ermm:

Has APS or Nizpro or any other tuner done what you are suggesting Geea?

About 12 months ago APS had a dyno day at one of their Melb installers. I think it cost $20 per car, not sure though it was awhile ago.

I run businesses myself and I fully understand about making money. My point was that they are trying to impress us and sell us their product. That being the case I thought it may have been prudent to cover costs on the dyno day and generate a bit of good will. If they were to charge $20 per car they would still cover costs and make a small profit.

I'm in Melbourne so it doesn't really affect me I was only making an observation.

Geea. :ermm:

Geea. :pooh:

geea, it was $30 for any car that hit the dyno ..... and all the money collected went back to the forum running expenses

and lets give credit where it is due

it was at Dynomotive (Mark - 03 9762 6500) and nothing to do with APS

some of us work differently :pinch:

He used to work for Unique Autosports in Castle hill, so he has pleanty of experience with Jap Turbo's and he also had a xr6T ute on the dyno when I was there.

If it was blue then that was the one that had the ECU, injectors & new spark plugs fitted. I think on 9 psi it was making around 270kw ATW. So with an exhaust the magic 300kw or more ATW is easily achievable.
