do white cars get black engine bays too??

I thought ford was cheap with the ED's and leaving the engine bay in a matt finish (of body colour), and only partially painting the underneath of the bonnet.

All the BA models mostly have been painted Flat black...............reasons being is ford Mo Co are cost cutting.

Owners only have to look underbonnet to see its flat black.

Until you pointed this out l hadnt even noticed.

Shows how important it is to me :hmmm:

If it makes the car cheaper to buy then l am happy with flat black. Got to make repairs cheaper too in the unfortunate event of a front end bingle.

Of course, if l got the engine bay painted it for nicks as you did then l wouldnt say no :)

Yeah, mine is actually flat black.

Personally I don't mind it, I think it is a nice contrast against the blueprint body when you open the bonnet.

Besides, how often are you going to have the bonnet open?

As Chris said, if it saves a few bucks I'm not concerned about it.

By the way, congratulations Phntum, hope you enjoy your new ride!
