Even as the new production car hits showrooms, Ford is getting ready to launch a race version, and is studying running it in Grand-Am as a factory effort.Internally known as Boy Racer, the car is powered by a 5.0-liter crate engine producing 313kW and 502 newton meters. Dan Davis, Ford's director of racing technology, said the Mustang racer is aimed at drivers interested in showroom stock-type series. Dodge sell the Viper comp coupe which would easily eat the stang.. :( Most likely will be alot cheaper then the Viper which would suit alot more people Edited 28/09/04 11:53 PM by eatV8 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/13130-2005-ford-mustang-race-car/#findComment-170210 Share on other sites

It comes with a 224kW 4.6 litre V8 with either a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic. If Ford could sell it there and maintain the price advantage I really think it would give the Monaro a run for it's money. www.fordvehicles.com/2005mustangWe'll assemble you guys new Mustang GTs in right-hand drive if you build us some left-hand drive Falcon turbos and XR8s. Edited 29/09/04 12:05 AM by TriShield Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/13130-2005-ford-mustang-race-car/#findComment-170219 Share on other sites

Being an American car company there will be great lease and buying plans with nice rebates Edited 29/09/04 12:27 AM by eatV8 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/13130-2005-ford-mustang-race-car/#findComment-170231 Share on other sites
