can someone please tell me how to reduce the size of the picture after I scan it into the machine.... I have scanned and saved and every time I attach it to my mail it comes back file too large... I can only use hotmail as have no other emails set up.... thanks in advance :kissmy:

What file format are you saving it as? I'd guess .TIF, but you need to see if you can save it as a .JPG file as that is a lossy format that compresses well and will be a small percentage of the original.

I just got a hint to fix this same problem, thanks Brent, right click on the pic & go to "send to" then "Mail recipient" you'll then get asked to resize it, once you've clicked on yes just save the pic again & presto, downsized just nicely thankyou very much.

Doesn't this only work with Outlook 2003? Not having used a competitive product, I don't know! :kissmy:

if the file size is too large, when you are scanning you may want to use a smaller DPI setting, for internet pic quality (for decent looking photos and good file size) try 72dpi

if you are wanting to have nice "Print Worthy" photos, use around 300dpi

Wll I think it just worked for me..... it asked for hotmail password and stuff and away it went.... lol.... I wish I knew more about modern day technology.
