Lately, almost every second T I have seen have had GT stripes added. I have been advised that they are now a dealer option.

It is unfortunate that they have been added as an option as I feel they should be reserved for the GT and GT-P. Any thought?

ummmmm tough call......

I use to think the same when I got my T around 3 months ago........

However, since then, several friends have had them put on and now I think they look O'K.......

Each to their own I guess!!!!!!

I thought about putting some on my NA, for a whole 2 minutes.

Didnt take long to say no!!

I reckon they look good on GT / GTPs, if they were actually painted on and had some quality about them then they would be better.

All to there own :spoton:

It's cheesy, tryhard and rice.

Funniest thing that I have seen, that gets my gripe, is I see an XT Falcon, with a body kit and stripes, and has XR8 badge too go with it. It aint my style, and wouldn't think it would be many others.

From an owner who has the best of both worlds, I wouldn't be putting stripes on my XR6T. It's cheesy, tryhard and rice.

I think the stripes look v.good (depending on the color combo).

GTPChris,

The GT and XRs are very similar, to say one is rice and the other is not is complete claptrap. Sheer claptrap in my opinion. I dont have the GT stripes but wouldnt rule out getting them. The starter button in the GT is cheesy! You are way off old chap. Tryhard? Perhaps 15% tryhard...but each to their own.

If you think stripes on an XR6T is rice then god knows what you think of some of the done-up Hondas n Excels out there.

Rice is dumping your car, adding 20" rims, painting your windscreen wipers and covering your car in stickers.

Choose your words more wisely nextime old chap.
