I'll be going the Roosters only because my Dad used to play for them in the 70's, back when it was a proper game, not like the penalty milking cr@p that is played today.

Was there some sort of grand final last saturday... the ONLY real footy Grandfinal to be watching is on this weekend. AFL = :sick::sick: League :w00t2:

You're kidding aren't you, talking about Fittler like that.

He is still one of the most potent attacking weapons in League. Not as dynamic an individual as he used to be, but his vision and positional skills make may of the young guns still look like amateurs.

I'm not a Roosters or Bulldogs fan, but when people makw uninformed remarks like that it deserves some sort of comeback.

He has played I dont know how many tests/SOO matches as well as close to 300 first grade games (from memory). He has played non-stop 1st grade since he was 17yo. You dont do that by being 'overpaid'

Some of his behaviour off field may have left a deal to be desired, but he was, and is still, a fantastic footballer and one of the best ever

Overpaid? Who made you the judge on this matter? Australia is a free country, the employer and employee are free to negotiate any salary they like.

Sportspeople have a limited career, and sometimes suffer serious or even career-ending injuries, they are very entitled to everything they get.

True, excepty for that whole salary cap thing there TurboDewd...Like they pay attention to it anyway!
