There was a time when I was a kid and all bulldogs players and supporters were a well behaved bunch. They had a white skin colour, they were labourers, brick layers, plumbers, etc.. They played for the love of the game after they finished their day jobs.

That heritage is the only reason I still support the dogs.

I don't go to games for the reasons you just mentioned, but I still support the team I supported as a kid. The Canterbury - Bankstown Bulldogs

I have always thought the way referees manage calling time-off has been inconsistent. I think the final 10 or 5 minutes in semis and the GF should be managed differently. I have always favored a concept whereby the clock stops when:

* the ball leaves the field, clock restarts when kick or tap is taken

* a try is scored, clock restarts at following kickoff

* a team says they will take a penalty kick at goal, restarts when ball is actually kicked.

Under this system teams in the lead couldnt waste time AND the time would be administered completely consistantly.

My brother goes for the Bulldogs. I'm a Rabbitohs supporter myself. So I'll go the Roosters. I think they;'ll do it for fitler. But then again if the doggies play a near perfect game the roosters won't have a chance.
