An inbetweener maybe.Something there but I wouldn't give it a name or a faith at all...Spirit Like...if you've ever been to some sacred sites and bora rings, you'll know what it is...A strange kind of 'presence'. I couldn't actually go into the bora ring as I could feel as strange forboding going there. Bad things happened there, by early squattersHowever a waterhole hidden in the middle of the desert was instant tranquility! That is just downright stupidity....and on that basis man made religion can stick it right up where the Holdens don't shine Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/13064-how-religious-are-you/page/2/#findComment-169136 Share on other sites
Velvet Glove Team Blueprint Member 532 Member For: 22y 2m Posted 26/09/04 01:17 PM Share Posted 26/09/04 01:17 PM I believe there is 'something' out there. I also thing that this 'something' is having a good laugh at watching us destroy each other in their name.If people displayed the basic tenets of just about every major religion, we would all be:(a) nice to each other(b) tolerant; and © forgivingWhen people manipulate their religious ideals to suit their own ends (read Islamic fundamentalists, radical Catholics/Proddys etc) then we have major problems.I am a born and raised rock chopper (Roman Catholic). I started to question my faith when a number of things happened. Firstly the largest owner of free-hold land in the world (The Cathlolic Church) expects us to put cash in the plate when they are absolutely rolling in it. To top of the moral high ground of the Church the Pope continues to espouse dated views on things like birth control while his church systematically covered up paedophilia up until recently.Every major war of the last 1000 years has religion involved in it. I think there's something in that for all of us. Guest casgeroth Guests Posted 26/09/04 02:21 PM Share Posted 26/09/04 02:21 PM I've grown up in a Christian family and been going to church all my life.I've been active in our church doing youth group stuff, playing in the church band etc... over the past few years, but lately haven't been doing as much because we've (my wife and I) just had our first baby.I had no idea how much time and effort would go into looking after our boy!But yeah. I believe! Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/13064-how-religious-are-you/page/2/#findComment-169171 Share on other sites

I will help someone out if I can etc... By being a good person I believe that should be enough in life and if there is something or someone watching over us it should be rewarded. I know religion says it isnt enough, but it is enough for me I have no problem with people who are religious. My wife is pretty religious, praying, going to church etc. I have several friends from all kinds of religous backgrounds. Like I said it doesn't bother me and I respect their beliefs.
