Well, I spoke too early.

The squeek is back as bad as ever.

Didn't even last 24hrs.

I only covered about 100km.

Its definitely suspension.

How can they get only 3 corners of the car right??

I didn't enjoy reading the post before this one, as I don't fancy being without the car for 20 days and still not have it resolved.

Ah well, time to book another appointment.

I will let you know how I go

Alan

Yeah I got the noises back, 20k's later! I think im just gonna have to live with it, or get a full system to drown it out.

Cheers

I'm about to go in for my first service with the same problem...RHR driver's side. Sounds metallic and is definitely not coming from the parcel shelf. It is more noticeable when the RR wheel is raised compared to the LF, almost as if there were some chasis flex that highlights the problem. It does not matter what the speed is and I can go over bumps without a problem so long as both rear wheels go over at the same time.

I will be interested to see what the Ford Dealer comes up with....and hopeful of a quick solution.

I've been driving with the windows down today, and I can hear it from the outside.

My dealership says there is no safety issue, so I'll wait till I get to 15,000kms.

Should be a month and a bit away.

Im allmost positive its chassis flex, but my sound is definately inside the car and to me sounds like the plastic trim behind the rear doors are moving and making the sound when the chassis flex's.

Cheers

I think its suspension related.

It happends more often when there is something heavy in the boot. when driving with the portacot and pram in the boot, it seems the noise suddenly is heard. Only happends when going over dips in road where there is some travel in the suspension.

anyway, hope it gets sorted out soon. Doesnt bother me too much but cross fingures it will be resolved.

I've got a squeek that happens when I sometimes turn corners....its coming from the back somewhere but I'll be damned if I can find it. It only happens sometimes so I guess I'll just leave it for now. *shrugs*

After 4,000 kms in the last 3 weeks and the amount of work they have done on my car previously (see above) I thought I had heard the last of it, but alas the noise has reappeared. It's going in again tomorrow so I will grill them and provide any feedback I get.
