I can't help myself at the traffic lights !yeehaaaaalanb

Guest Scootre Guests Posted 15/10/04 09:18 PM Share Posted 15/10/04 09:18 PM Yeah I had squeaking from the rear of my car... but then I realised it was just a Late model camira trying to keep up with me.
Guest hopeful Guests Posted 17/03/05 04:11 AM Share Posted 17/03/05 04:11 AM Finally got rid of the rear end squeak. The Service Guy seemed to know about the problem just from my description. The rear springs were replaced (under warranty) and the noise was gone. Have to say the Dealer was great and the service was terrific...no problems and just got the job done. I suppose next time im near the dealer and the squeek starts, I'll have to take them for a drive myself so they can hear it (that, and the clunking noise from the steering when turning at a standstill). still, me loves me car

I have been told by ford that it will not be the locator tabs as it is out of the date range (although I know of vehicles that had this problem out of the range) and unless they hear it they are not going to go looking for it. I have also been told that it is most likley a wear and tear issue which I will have to pay to have fixed. I have been in the boot when it has made the noise and I can tell them exactly where it is comming from but still no good.I have 4000km till the next service so I will wait to have it fixed then. All I need to do now is find a dealer in victoria who is willing to have a good look for it or one who already knows what it is..

cactus Member 2 Member For: 17y 1m 27d Posted 12/03/08 05:07 AM Share Posted 12/03/08 05:07 AM I have this same bloody squeek since the car hit 1000kms. a real high pitched squeek coming from the right side under the backseats , it only seems to happen during accelerating or braking and its louder when the rear seats are folded down. can anyone who has fixed the problem tell me which bushes they replaced? it doesnt make the noise at standstill no matter how hard im jumping on the towbar. the car is new and I cant find any signs of wear on anything.
