hello people. I was wondering with the manual mode on the t, what is the best rpms to change from 2nd to 3rd gear when really pushing the car?

is 6000 to much or can you go a little higher?

also does it stuff the transmision if it is too high?

The car has a cutout at about 5800-5900rpm. It wont rev any higher. If you like try this in 1st or 2nd and see what happens. It wont hurt the car if it is only rarely done.

Unless you have a special tune its probably best to change at 5800. At the drags most people leave it in auto mode as this seems to give the best times.

Geea.

doublek - if you are going to try it, tape a pillow to the steering wheel to lessen the impact. :censored:

Dude in 1st or second your car should hit the rev limiter hard at around 5800rpm and just splutter until you change gears, result head goes forward, 3rd to fourth however I havent been able to make the rev liniter kick in it just howls right up to 6000rpm, then you have to back off for the corner. :-)

Just push it, plant the foot dude and dont let it off and dont change gear until head hits dash then next time shift a little earlier, you'll soon figure it out.
