Despite my dislike of this week's Vortex diet I have had plenty of fun indoctrinating those whom have not been blessed with the XRT rush yet....

I work out in the sticks and drive through a section of mountain terrain everyday and plenty of wild and twisty bits. I previously had an XH ute that was set up to take the corners well (no body roll and a few mills off the ground). A mate of mine at work has Mini Cooper S and have been bragging about the drive he gets through this section on the way to work for ages. I once followed him in the XH and comfortably kept with him. Nonetheless he thought the Cooper S was untouchable through this section. That was until I took him for a ride in the T ute. At first he wasn't all that impressed thinking that it was just as good at the Cooper with accelration in a straight line. "Deceptive wrong mate!" I said. I showed him me settig the speed alert to a "particular" number and then demonstrated how his perception of accleration was being tested in this larger but much more faster car. Then we hit the bends - well I tell you firstly he couldn't believe how well it went around the corners, but more to his surprise was the third gear torque pull out of them. Lazily it seemed to him that we had carved through and left it behind. Needless to say I converted him within 12 minutes and he is now talking about trying to get out of his lease agreement to take purchase of a Mk11. Addictive.........

nice driving :)
