Wayne that bonnet protector you have on the car how does it go buggering up the paint where it mounts to the bonnet have you had any probs?

Or as anyone else ?

Just that on previous cars it has stuffed the paint where it connects, they were crummydores though.

Usually they are OK I guess, no probs at all with the previous bonnet.

Hang on, need to check new ones.....

1 minute later: Hmm, had to check, the colour coded stickers they used, there is no margin for error this time round, looks neater but they are way smaller than the ones Bryan Byrt put on, the BBF ones were uglier but way more forgiving if you have a clutz episode. Now I will have to be very careful taking this protector on and off for detailing. Not to mention one rubber mount, (the inner LHS one), is not alligned correctly and hanging 2 to 3mm over one side of the protective sticker, have to do something about that ASAP. Only thing I'm not really happy with. Hope it will be OK.

I keep wishing it was a T!!! Stop tormenting me.....lol

Yes, and jumping back in the Excel is torture, ahh the weekend drive, soooo enjoyable, one problem.

THAT DAMN 2.5" MUFFLER IS NOW TOO LOUD!!!

Before the 'accident', the car had a resonator installed and was dyno tuned. I got Steve to install a resonator to take the edge off the drone but still keep a nice note. As I said earlier in ther thread, the accident happened 200 metres up the road from RDP. Just my stinkin' luck as per :shifty: usual, no shock there!!!

Anyway....1st real time to test the new mapping of the computer, the more agressive low end tuning and the resonator. Very nice but will take a bit of getting used to, great in SSS performance mode, auto, oops, I hit the soft rev limiter again...lol. :shifty:

The Resonator.....Hmmm......Geezus, umm, now the whole car shakes?? Its louder. hmm, be contacting RDP very soon. The drone is gone but only when you have your foot off the 'go' pedal completely. Ask Aaron and Miss Kitty....lol. :ermm: Travelling at 110 to the coast is noisier then before.

.................

Sorry Wayne, I said we would catch up yesterday arvo but ended up at a BBQ and on the turps with a couple of mates watching the moto GP.

This weekend is shot also as I'm up in Cairns again from Thurs to Sunday night.

Cheers,

Simon
