I know it is listed as a factory fitted option but I cant see why any decent stereo shop wouldnt be able to fit the uprated components?PS its for a ute. This is one area FORD has failed in not taking into account the fact that a lot of buyer's wish to upgrade away from the standard unit. Having it intergrated with the rest of the function's makes for a nice clean unit but is by far out weighed by being able to have the choice of a nice Alpine - Kenwood - Pioneer MP3 Headunit.I guess it's still a single din unit but now it incorporates the entire dash into that single freekin din. The subwoofer amp needs to be installed in the boot and the sub fitted to the rear parcel shelf. This will require a change in the LH boot liner and probably the parcel shelf as well.. Can't recall if there is a change in the line up of speakers apart from the sub woolfer thoughI expect that the appropriate wiring looms are in the car even if the premium sound is not installed ex factory.Oh there is the "small" consideration of COST! Probably a lot more than the $900 for factory fitted option
