im talking about all the weird bids by the other person, not me..

getting me to raise my bid..

looked throught the history and couldn't find anything, but they aren't exactly a major user.

I almost been caught a couple of times where items have been pushed up to my max bid and then over, i have then gone throught the seller's history and seen that the same bidder always pushes the bids up and never wins the auction and on the occasions that they did win the item has been relisted due to non payment...dont need to study astrophysics to work out what going to there....its just something to be mindful of when usins ebay :bangcomputer:

Guys it's called Shill bidding and eBay will kick their butts and kick them off eBay.

They can check IP addresses and determin if there is a pattern. I would report anyone that is suspect, but I do not think the issue raised looks sus.

I am sure that everyone has bumped up a price of something they are selling by getting a friend or relative to bid.

Cheap F6 anyone? I've sent the seller a couple of emails (both through eBay and direct to his Yahoo addy) asking for more info but so far no reply. Doesn't look at this stage to be your typical overseas scam but it doesn't seem to be above board either.
