The car belongs to New Gel Spoiler & Body Kit Specialists in Canberra but the eBay 'seller' is in Adelaide.

http://www.newgel.com.au/

I drove past their shop in Isa St Fyshwick this afternoon and it is definitely there.

It is also advertised at http://www.uniquecarsales.com.au/pls/carsa...ge&photo_flag=1 for $37,000.

Yeah it happened with a car I was selling. Had it on ebay, some lowlife grabbed all the photos and details (including the rego)from my add and listed it on drive.com for about a third of the redbook value.

They gave a dodgy phone number and a hotmail address.

The scam goes like this, eager buyer finds bargain they have to have, the phone number doesnt work emails go back and forth, a deposit goes through western union money transfer......buyer gets ripped off.

The police weren't interested, ebay weren't interested all drive offered to do was remove the add.

Nothin new here, these things are always goin on

:wtf: Regular occurrence, usually seller has zero feedback and bidders need to go on a 'pre approved' bidders list. :w00t2:

Caveat emptor, I can't believe anyone would still fall for these types of scams. :sleepystuff:
