NSW-ACT Christmas Get together

It's getting close to that time of the year again, and time to organise the NSW-ACT Christmas Party.

To do something a little different from the usual I have enquired about dates and prices for a Party at Picton Kart Track.

Here are the details I received from them, if you are interested, please vote ASAP as I must book as soon as possible.

Please also mention what meal you would like. The $15 or $20 menu.

If you are not happy with this idea, please have your say and I will also look into other ideas.

November isn't a good idea since some of us will be down harassing the local Tasmanians on the mega cruise.

Sunday would be better for me as I usually work Saturday

(no work = no pay = no play :banghead: ).

Either food option sounds fine. Make sure you are not out of pocket on this one Ant. Maybe people can pay up front this time?

Picton is about 5/10 mins after you turn right off the Hume Highway at the Wilton turnoff when heading south. The Wilton turnoff is where they have the skydiving/parachute area.

Anytime in december should be OK for me. Either menu is fine too. I probably have more chance of making a Sunday event though, due to a couple of weddings occuring around that time.

Go-Karts, what a top idea. What sort of races do they run for a group of our size?

Other locations I have been to run an enduro-type event, where you form a team of 3-4 drivers, and the race goes for 3 hours or so. Compulsory driver rotation every 15 or 20 minutes, and includes fuel stops. The team with the most laps accumulated wins.

I vote for the 19th Dec. But I am OK to go on any of the days. As I am off for all of them. Also the food doesnt seem worth the $5 more so ill say go the cheaper on as we will all be more interested in the carts anyways.

Money up front as was already stated. This isnt a charity.

Sun 12th first preference but the 19th is OK too.

$20 for lunch is OK.

What type of event will it be? Individual or teams? 15min sessions or endurance style? - any suggestions/ideas and the costs please?
