and everyone is entitled to there opinions on products .

That is the whole point of a forum

Well thanks for your input and I think your attitude towards engine emissions is very irresponsible..................we're all entitled to our opinion. :spoton:

Brian you never cease to amaze me......you've owned 5 turbo cars so now you're an absolute expert/legend on every turbo related issue..................I get the impresion that you believe you can say what you like and continually slag APS products and never be held accountable for your comments.

Regards

Peter

Actually I've had 9 turbo cars during 23 years of turbo driving (since '81), and have 5 turbo cars at home now.

I'm not an expert, but I do know enough to know what's BS manipulation and what's not.

I do have Nizpro and APS products, and I have stated in past threads that APS have some good products.

Please, how about we stop this argument right now.

Brian

Considering you are a director of aps your very unprofessional remember everyone on here is a potential customer and I know if I were sitting back reading this I wouldn’t be thinking highly of yourself nor aps

That's certainly a very bold statement considering you set the ball rolling with this:

If you look at there products everything is half ass'd

What do you think Peter should do in situations like this when someone who would appear to have no experience with his products makes a statement like this on a forum that he spends money to sponsor?

Now, Im no angel on this subject either :w00t2: , but I'm from a marketing background as well and it's a very difficult and frustrating situation when people continually bash and attack you and your company on internet forums just because they don't like you or have some personal grudge against you or your products. This is even more frustrating when those getting personal have no or limited knowledge of the real situations at hand.

It's very easy for people to post and deride the company rep and as soon as that rep makes any effort to defend themselves, their product or their belief it's seen as unbelievably poor professionally, because as we all know, the customer is always right, even when they go about airing their issues the wrong way. :w00t2:

You have to expect some golden lining with any marketing reps statements as they will always speak highly of their products. Constructive debate is always welcome but insults and labeling other's input as 'marketing BS' is certainly not productive especially when you don't have anything to say otherwise.

Anyway, good luck with your upcoming stages xarh6turbo, lets hope we can keep positive :ermm:

I'm very interested in how these 6 aux injectors are run.

Are they run on the same map as the main injectors?

If so how can you fine tune them?

Are they run on a seperate map?

I was led to believe that the Unichip cannot run 2 maps

Peter,

Somewhere along the line with all the banter, my question must have got overlooked so I've asked it again.

Ive got a better idea.

Instead of further hijacking of xarh6turbo's thread, why dont you either;

a) start a new topic under the APS section in the Modifications and Workshop area

or

b) Send APS a PM

that way you will get a response you are looking for. :sleepystuff:

If you look at there products everything is half ass'd

example look at there plemium camber another set of injector on it cause unichip cant handle bigger injectors

you couldnt pay me to use there products

this is my opinion

Nice comment very productive to the conversation, as I am one of the people with the half assed products on my car I dont see how your car is producing any better results than the half assed stuff from aps...mines only on 14.5psi and easly makes 341 with a very conservative tune and standard ford manifold. It was running similar boost to yours and making more power but I had it turned down as my engine internals are still standard.

Also your comments about running staged injectors is not really correct, if you run a very large injector it wont have the sort of control at small duty cycles as a smaller injector , therefore staged injectors will give you good clean emmisions and standard car drivabilty at low power levels, this may not be important to some people but there is a reason for it and its got nothing to do with your "half assed" theory.

that's just my oppinion and I put it foward with out bagging other products used by

forum members

Cheers

Frank

Thanks Frank,

Why don't you publish your power/boost graphs in your own thread so we can see how yours looks and substantiate your claims.

As for adding extra injectors it's a throw-back to the late 80's and early 90's, and a knee-jerk solution to not getting enough fuel via available injectors. I've used extra injectors back 15 years ago. It may be pre-emptive to discuss this, but I believe that although you may lose some idle quality with big injectors, going with 6 extra injectors you'll have very little tuning/mapping capability with 6 extra injectors. That will probably be the subject of another thread in 3 months time, when we review how these cars are tuned. Usually with big horsepower, via big cams, turbos etc there are usually tradeoffs.

How about I try the big injectors, you try the extra 6 injectors, and we'll compare results.

Brian

Sounds like a plan and I wont go into any further discussions on your opinions as you rightly pointed out its not my thread....however I only replyed due to the comments made being total crap.

Frank

ms700,

I did'nt highjack anything you had better read the posts. Here are some quotes by other members. I don't see you jumping on them.

They started the banter about aux injectors and so forth. While they were the topic of conversation, I was mearly inquiring about how they would work.

But I'll take up you suggestion about a PM to APS anyway. :sleepystuff:

I didnt "jump" on you, al I was trying to do was help you out.

I doubt APS will come back to this thread, all I was trying to do was suggest different ways to get your question answered, in the quickest possible way.

The hijacking bit was thrown in to try and keep EVERYBODY on track.

I trust this clarifies the situation.
