The ones in it at the moment are pretty dodgey and are really not suitable for night driving. I am looking for lights that are H4 size, have a substantially better projection capability over the stock ford bulbs, have a blue (xenon) style tint and dont melt or discolour the polycarbonate lenses. Would like to know what brand they are, where to get them and approximately how much they cost.Thx,Dave

I'd advise against high power, as in 90/100w H4s as they will destroy the lenses. I also don't like the blue "pretend xenon" globes. If you want to improve light output the only real way is to do an XR front end conversion, so then you fit the four round XR lights which perform far better than the crap in there now - but will cost about $2,000.00 for the parts. Then there is fitting and painting.

Be careful what globe's you put in, the headlight lens' on the EF's were not the best.... often you will see a EF driving around with "frosted" lens. I'll say! nearly every EF/EL you see these days has yellow foggy lenses

I'll have a look at the Osram Plus 50s. Dont think I want to go replacing the whole front end as it is becoming an old car and it's not something I can see that will ad resale value (not sure how long we are keeping the car for, but the globes have to be replaced as they are ridiculously bad). Sorry about posting this in the Ford Performance Cars forum, I havent had much practice at posting threads (my 3rd in months), although I do visit the site often to read other posts. Thankyou ms700 for moving the thread.Cheers,Dave
