It goes heaps better now. I had literally about 50 popups, I think I posted a picture on here a while ago of my screen. When I got my HD formatted I got norton antivirus put on it and it seems to run a heap better without spyware. this is pretty much what I do when I have trouble with my computer...ive got a removable hard drive and it is 120gb in size, ny internal computer hard drive is 40gb, so whenever I get a terminal problem, tons of popups, virus's or any other stuff, I get all the stuff I need, back it all up onto my rem hdd and format the internal one...simple solution to me I think. Posted 14/09/04 02:33 AM Author Share Posted 14/09/04 02:33 AM Well, I loaded Spy Sweeper this morning, free!!!! And have not had one pop up yet. When it done it's sweep it picked up 159 suspect programs, so I've dumped Adaware and will keep this one for awhile and see how it goes. Thanks for the tips and suggestions folks. Posted 14/09/04 01:50 PM Share Posted 14/09/04 01:50 PM check your "Add/Remove" programs in the control panel... sift through there and if there is somthing there that you dont think should be, get rid of it, and search it on the net, and then remove it from your registry, I know its a long proccess, but it will get rid of it all for you... the worst program for installing spyware on your pc is KAZZA!!!!use kazza lite insteadkaazaa media desktop installs many other spyware software on your pc.uninstall it, and then go thru your add/remove programs to remove anything you dont think should be thera funny one is a program which discuisesitself as windows SR and SR2.. they seem like they should be there, . out!!
