Do you think the car is too powerful for the street as it is now? Not sure whether it is too powerful or not. I'm finding that there is wheel spin quite often though, usually when the tyres and road is cold. Wheel spin slows me down so I'd like to avoid it. The wheel spin could be due to the tyre compound or the current map. However the wheelspin doesn't usually happen till higher in the rev range in 1st and sometimes 2nd gears. The 260rwkw map I had in Boof was nearly the perfect street map. I hardly ever had wheel spin and the car could be launched @ 2000rpm on the street and held at full throttle till I ran out of road with no wheel spin. This map was good for running 12.6 all day. Sometimes with my 281rwkw map I had a little wheel spin just near the top of 1st gear. This could mean that the bit of extra power is causing the wheels to loose traction.I'd also like to have as much power as the cars current setup is capable of. That could be 310rwkw's or 340+rwkw's and I dont think I would like anyone besides me driving the car with that sort of power. If the car was to just have the one high perfromance map (320rwkw+) I believe that it would shorten the life expectancy of alot of the cars components aswell.Geea. Posted 19/09/04 06:45 AM Author Share Posted 19/09/04 06:45 AM The only exterior things I have done to the car is to take the Falcon and XR6 badges off the boot, I have also put in blue parking lights and a lower grill infront of the intercooler. I'm thinking of taking the XR6 badges off the skirts too but not sure yet.Geea.
