Blueprint and stonechips gives me the sh*ts.

The roads suck but I reckon that there must be someone with a bucket of stones that looks for my car and pelts it every time I go past.

Heaps of chips all over the dang thing.

I cant beleive no one has said anything about the bloody trucks on the road. I am a rep on the road bloody cement trucks, trucks carrying steel, earth equipment etc, driving on the freeway a truck that had a tray on the back swings out infront of me stone chip on my bonnet and my door. You get a stone chip most likely from the truck that passed you or coming from the other way.

GRRRRRRR

oh welll that's life I over it

Might have to buy new bonnet now that it has a chip, hmmm go for bulge or wait to find out about special bonnet for the "T"

Hmmm my white au only got 1 stone chip on the bonnet after about 35 trips up the cunningham highway and back....

I had a bonnet protector on it and also put one on the new car. They look sh*t but you can always take them off on special occassions, better then having a bonnet full of bumps.

Im extreamly happy with the paint jobs on both my Fords, I really think most of it comes down to how much time you wanna spend looking after it and protecting it... As for stone chips well im over them.

Blame all the dodgy bastards who dont put mudflaps on their vehicles, and alot of you know who you are :w00t2:

My car a Vixon BA XR8 already has more stone chips after 9 months than my last car (a Mitsubushi Lancer) had in ten years of driving. I must admit that Ford have really done a bad job on this or used really cheap paint.

Not impressed !!!

6 months of having my blood orange T, I have 1 stone chip (I wash the car every weekend and I check it constantly).

Although, I do want to complain to the council / RTA about our roads. They are :spoton:

Whilst I was on the way to the city their was a large "mullet" looking steel thing inside a crack of the road, due to the rain and the speed I was going etc I went right over it at 60 - 80km without even seeing it, bent in my rim from the inside (I had to get it fixed and welded for $70.00) and I had to buy a new 19" tyre as mine got sliced in half ($260.00)

That ford touch up paint any good? I wouldn't mind using it.

Regards,

G

I've had my black T for 6 months, I drive country road all the time as I live in a semi rural setting, I wash the car weekly and polish with mequires. One stone chip on the side. My biggest concern is polishing near the protector stips in the doors.

Guys if you really hate those stone chips then send some of that mod money and put the clear stoneguard protection on the front it does not detract from the look and has stop anymore chips on the front of mine. Just do a search for it on the web to find it dont have anything to do with them so will not spread the name unless you really want to know.
