:spoton: I had a very nice officer pull up next to me and told me to wind my window down. As we were cruzing down the road he informed me that if I didn't want a large fine to in future slow down whilst going down a local street.

65 in a 50 zone. I was quite surprised and in a bit of shock. So I just politely thanked him and that was that.

That is one warning I'm going to take.

At least the officer was honest, and spoke about the fine only and not about how doing 65 in a 50 is dangerous, because clearly it isn't dangerous and just a speed limit in place just to raise revenue.

JT - I used to think that way as well. A extra few K's ... so what I'd think. Untill I took an advance driving course. The difference of 1k could mean the difference in flattening a small non-road weary child (who darts out in front of you behind a parked car) or not. Having that on my consious is something that I rather not.
