envi240 Member 113 Member For: 20y 6m 20d Posted 03/10/05 03:22 AM Share Posted 03/10/05 03:22 AM clarion have a new 8inch free air sub that sounds great.I heard it in a customers car 4 days ago and it sounded like a 12inch in box sub...bass was not to loud but it was very clean....if you want that big doof doof lancer/civic with crome sound then you will not get it from an 8inch or even 10 inch sub(without spending massive money.and you will not get it from a free air sub...the best thing about that free air sub is it uses the boot as its box so the bass sounds alot better then any other 10inch install I have heard.he was running a clarion 300wrms 2 channel amp bridged into 1.but the setup is $$$ I have put it on my list but I think injectors or valve springs would come before it...
