Posted 11/09/04 03:57 AM Share Posted 11/09/04 03:57 AM I'm looking at getting the DBA 4000 slotted rotors aswell as the Ferodo Formula pads. What would it cost for these items and what would the fitting charges be. Is it hard to do your self. Would it be nessecary to change the brake lines or brake fluid?Geea. I have looked at the DBA website, HERE. Are you able to change the size of the rotor, standard is 298mm to the premium size of 325mm and still use the same caliper?Geea. (I think...)I'm more interested in transferring the Territory brake setup to the Falcon ! It seems that the Territory runs slightly larger rotots on the front, and the rears are ventilated - wonder how much of the setup uses similar parts & mounting locations ? Although knowing how much Ford like to charge for parts, it would probably be cheaper to go after-market !

I would expect these calipers to cost somewhere between $500 and $1000 for the pairI would definately reccomend going to a better fluid Try Motul RBF600 which has a dry boiling point of 312 degreesthe braided lines will ensure there is no compliance at all in the brake lines.I have found they generally make they pedal a little firmer under foot

Posted 11/09/04 04:43 AM Share Posted 11/09/04 04:43 AM the 4000 brake disks are arround the 200 beer token mark each and the ferodo formula pads are about 150 beer tokens a set.you can fit them your self or get a mechanic to do it for about 100 beer tokens. I kept the standard brake lines and changed my fluid to dot 4.I have been warned not to use dot 5 synthetic fluid because there has been a lot of problems with it. Posted 11/09/04 04:46 AM Share Posted 11/09/04 04:46 AM you might also find that the disks are rusted on to the hubs and takes a bit to get them off.also check the abs sensors and gears at the rear of the hubs.if ford have skimmed the brakes on car then they will be full of iron fillings.needs to be cleaned out. Like Ultimate vs Optimax.....!Dingah

It includes larger discs and calipers, and front and rear steel brake hoses. After four attempts in 15K Ford still hasen't fixed the problem. If anything the last time it was in, the shudder came back worse than ever. I would love Brembo upgrade but am finding hard to justify 6k. www.pbrperformance.com.au/performance.htm
