What would of happened if I had hit the cow

Would I be covered by insurance?

Just a thought

I think so, can't see why not!! Anyone ever heard or had anything different happen to them in a similar sit'n?

The people going to Tassie will have fun with smaller road fiends - possums. Those things are EVERYWHERE down there - bloody menaces. Not quite as large as a cow, but still dangerous if you're not expecting one and you swerve too far.

Sounds like you pulled off some top driving, Miss_Aly! :spoton:

If you can identify the cow via rego and/or Licence no. then you should have no trouble.

Good to hear you missed it Miss_Aly, they are dangerous. Not only would it do damage to the car but if it went through the windscreen it'd be a big mess.

Glad to hear you're ok. By the way.....why did your husband choose that particular moment to call you a cow? He has a hide. (no pun intended)

Last stat I heard was that about 1000 kangaroos die on ACT roads in a year. Dunno how truthful that is but on one 20km drive I did encounter about 20 dead roos by the side of the road.

Might not have been the bushfires Krash...Do you follow Cro home..could account for the dead roos.

Glad you missed the cow Miss_Aly  Don't know if anyone has seen a car hit a cow or horse ...believe me it ain't pretty  Actually saw a brumbi write off as a Nissan a few years ago when it jumped out of the bush straight in front of this old couple down the Snowy Mtns.Bonnet, roof, boot totalled.horse landed 2' from me on my bike

Insurance would depend on whether it was an ADR compliant cow or not.. :spoton:

A kid from my old school was in a car that hit a horse and it peeld back the roof and killed him. My dads friend is one of the forensic detectives who worked on the case and he said it was seriously bad.

Damo.

If the cow has a tag on it you can claim it on the owners insurance, if not you got to do it on your own insurance.
