Prestige Audio Question

Does the premium ICC have a 6 stacker?

I thought that the teir was:

Standard = single stack. B/W screen.

Prestige = 6 stacker + colour screen.

Premium = 6 stacker + colour screen + Sub + Amp.

Premium ICC = 6 stacker + colour screen(better than premium) + Sub + Amp + Internal Climate Control.

Is this right???

Yeah, that's right. The Prestige Sound comes with tweeters in the A-pillars and I'm pretty sure that the other speakers around the car are upgraded, but no sub, no amp.

I enquired about the Prestige Sound in the EARLY days months before I ordered my BA and apart from the dealer knowing sweet F.A. about the differences, once I saw the Premium display and heard the sound with the addition of the (very modest, but very nice) amp and sub, I knew what I was getting.....

The Premium ICC has little to do with the audio pack....

The XT and Futura both have the standard ICC

Both Fairmonts have the Prestige ICC featuring dual zone C/C and Premium sound

How could the colour screen be better? Higher resolution?

My Premium does have a sub. Where is the amp?

The amp should be next to the Sub if I'm not mistaken. Attached to the underside of the shelf.

Nope, no amp, just a bulge in the middle for the subwoofer.

BTW, over on the drivers side under the rear parcel shelf, is a little rectangular door that is covered in the same carpet type material as everything else in the boot. Inside is a compartment - empty. I wonder what that's for?

But yes, tweeters in the pillars up front.

I'm pretty sure that's for the optional satellite navigational system.

This reads as if it had two screens, one large one with Dual Climate control and trip comp, and one also with the premium sound package. That can't be right can it?

As far as I know theres just the one size screen for the colour display. The black and white display there are 2 sizes, fairmont and GTP get a larger B&W display than XT etc... because of the climate control and trip computer.
