I have my dealer service mine. Been very happy so far. They get to do the lot - oil, brakes, everything. I used to do all that but couldn't be bothered these days after being quite ill a couple of years ago... just haven't got the energy these days.

In any case, I bought an extended warranty... so if anything, no matter how little, goes wrong with it... wham... back to the dealer and they fix it.

I got the extended warranty also, they seem fairly expensive when ordering the car but thinking about it, having the car under warranty still a year after its paid for is good for keeping the mind at ease.

Who,

This is what Ford want you to think.

As long as you have a stamped service book or have receipts for the work done as required by the service handbook, you are covered.

Due to trade practices legislation they must honor the warranty, even if they have never serviced the car.

Thanks for the answer - Zap. I learn one new thing today.

To answer the post - I think my dealer will be the one doing the service - as 1) I know nothing about cars :D 2) they are close to my place and 3) don't know any mechanic.

Anyone knows/have service stories about Dale Ford :D.

The dealer... who just so happens to be Dale Ford.

No complaints so far about their service department , except for their physical location. Its a good walk to buses and/or the train station. I reckon it wont be going back there for its next service as im miles away and its a real pain in the :crybaby: getting the car to them.

They even gave me T a good thrashing for free...was averaging 13.5/14's when I took it for service. When I got it back, it had done another 9/10k's and fuel average counter had shot up to 20 something.... mmmmm.

Initiately I was pissed, however I took me T out and fanged her a little. :crybaby: Dunno what they did 'extra' in the service but shezzzzzz her balls where back! (was a little sluggish before service.)

However, I was quite disapointed with their 'final inspection' before I received the car. Extremely poor job. :banghead:

Has anyone noticed that after the Ford 15,000KM service, the Turbos seem flat and don't have the same pick-up as prior to the service ?

I noticed that too after my 30,000 service, oh wait, that was just the wad of paper left in my intake.
