Are you guys expecting the typhoon to be faster 0-100km/ph than the GT?

Naturally ... can't see any reason why it wouldn't be now that the specs are all on the table. 550NM of torque from 2000 rpm in a lighter car and lower final drive and virtually the same gearbox ratios.

Is there any confirmation of the weight of the typhoon? Will be interesting to see how it weighs in comparison with the T

I dont know about weight, but I did read in the paper a few days ago, there was an article on the F6 and the new HSV's with the LS2.

The Typhoon was claimed at 0-100 in 5.3 sec,

While the LS2 in 5.2sec.

It's based on Fairmont so expect about 50-60kg above a T. Still just under the GT by 50kg I would reckon.

Given that, and the added weight of the T56 (apparently 30-40kgs), it might be the same weight as the GT more or less. Guess we'll have to wait for the motor mag review next month

can't see the F6 running better than a 13.7 sec 400 m as a manual, despite the lashings of torque down low. Ford will not humiliate the GT in such a fashion.

Why screw your margins. Tis a business after all.

More importantly can I bolt my phase 2 bits straight on? :gooff:

18 months a 6 speed auto.............

Then we have a Typhoon 300+ at the wheels :gooff:

And a nice ride to boot :msm:

I just want one :msm:

Where do you get 40 kgs EXTRA for the gearbox??? - the whole damn thing (T56)only weighs about 58kg I think ... Anyway the GT will have the same box ... duh!

I talked to one of the FPV rep's at the SMS who seemed pretty switched on (probably shouldn't mention his name) and he said in testing the F6 was running mid 13's EASILY but it did see times as fast as 13.1 :spoton:

Not sure the truth in that but I'm just the messenger.................
