One just has to plug some numbers into the ET calculators, which are not overly reliable, to get a sense of this and intuitively that 550Nm of Torque on a car which is presumably not much heavier than an XR6T would do about the same as an APS Phase I over the 1/4 mile. The stronger rods, valve springs, oil cooler, bigger intercooler etc all add to the long term durability and address some of the issues that arise when you "boost" the performance, as compared to the standard "T".Also, the price gap becomes less when you consider the 18" wheels, premuim brakes, sport steering wheel etc that are all optoins on the normal "T" (and which many of us have)Also I love the FPV look but wouldnt buy a GT (have just had one for 2 days) as the peaky engine is a dissapointment and it has a nasty swerve towards petrol stations!! Manual, 3.7 diff, 550nm of torque very low in the rev range and only 245 tyres means these cars will be a nightmare to launch cleanly without wheelspin. With a perfect launch I would guess a mid 13 would be possible.
