Bad news Max,that sort of stuff really rocks your faith in your fellow man.I hope the cops track that rego down and charge the driver.

I know who did it and so do the cops. If they do anything is a different matter. The guy has already tried to repair his front 3/4 panel. Same rego, same coloured car, same description of the person I got - its him. He would be uninsured so christ knows what happens now. Thanks to shiftyxr for all his help in this.

clutch installation :w00t2: instead of doing the turbo, done a clutch in a ef xr6,,,,

release bearing shat itself and front snout loose..all good but doing 2 clutches on a saturday is just plain  ..the release bearing in the BA costs $600 so I think it can go again..If it stuffs up then I will get the bearing replaced under warranty..

just found some motivation so I thing I might head to work and do the turbo's clutch and flywheel..Wish me luck :)

Isn,t that what they used to call" being a glutton for punishment'?I'm tired just thinking about that workload Ed!I trust it all went OK.

Surely the cops can charge him!Hit and run or failing to report an accident or something?Your insurance will cover the damage I imagine :ermm:I'm afraid I get a little bit nasty when things like this happen to me,and I used to do some pretty scary things to even the score;but these days I think it's just not worth the effort and stress in the end.In a couple of weeks the car will be fixed and hopefully the wheels of justice will turn.In the meantime Max: I extend my sympathy, best wishes and hope you can stay cool.

Soon I will be sitting down to enjoy some of South Australia's finest.

A Bottle of Elderton Commander Sirah' from Nurioopta. Good Drop at the worst of times, but this is a 1995 Bottle. Extra Spesh I hope.

Sorry to hear about that Max....it really stinks. But that sort of damage can be fixed as good as new and since you know who did it, your NCB should be unaffected.

I've used Plush cars on Glen Osmond road when a silly woman rear-ended me at the lights in the Maxima. They did a good job and gave me a loaner.

I think it's almost worse when the other party gets out of their car, like this woman did, with a cheery "sorry about that" and makes like it's no big deal and you're a crabby old bas*ard for not being delighted by the encounter.

But we can all make mistakes and my nightmare would be damaging some bikie's Harley. I'd be very apologetic indeed if I damaged anyone's vehicle, esp a hog.

Anyway, I think I'll give the retribution show a miss....can't find my baseball bat. To show good faith though, if you want, I'll send Mrs z along. She might be little, but she's tougher than she looks and she hates people that smash into other people's cars. She was hit head on by a female driver in a VW on Xmas eve 1983 and had her extensively restored and modded Fiat 128 SL coupe written off. When people from another car asked her if she could get out of the car, she said "no". When they asked why, she said "cos, if I do, I'll kill that woman in the VW" I think she meant it.

Best of luck in getting it back to new condition ASAP.
