Do yourselves a favour and find a sharp bend to watch the classic Adelaide. Some absolutely awesome and very fast machines.Top half of competition class with HQ 350,XYHO, Boss 302 and A9X were very quick and savage.Touring class had Ford GT4O's,Ferrari F40 and the new Porsche supercar. It's free and well worth the time.I'm going to watch again on the w/end if I can.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Spent about 5 hours perched on a cliff in the bush on Belair road today. Some very very nice cars out there, particularly the GT40s and that Porsche Carrera GT. That thing sounds like an F1 car! It was the first time that I had gone to the Classic Adelaide and I would reccommend it to anyone who has the spare time to go as it is really worth seeing the variety of cars. Plus you get to hear some amazing sounding engines echoing in the hills.

The GTs sounded tough but the best noise for me was that Porsche. Could have sworn Schumacher was taking his F1 car for a spin. The M3 CSL also sounded crazy and went bloody hard for a road car. My Favourite car was any of the GT40s as they look so much better in real life, particulary when someone is wringing its neck in the hills. It just looks like its meant to be thrashed. I have some good pics but I can't transfer them to the other PC! I will try later.

Nice pics Maxx-Yes top class event :censored: we went again yesterday to the Meadows to Bull Creek section and yeah that Porsche is wicked. The guy in the VZ Monaro had a huge moment at our corner soooooo close to a big mess. :argue: We voted the Boss 302 as best sounding, tied with the Mk 1 Escorts(8500-9000 rpm?)Yes have to agree, if I could take one car home it'd be a GT40.

Have to agree about the Escorts at high revs, great noise. One of the Porsche's looped it at the hairpin after windy hill later in the day, not sure how he kept it off the rock wall or the armco. I must look into where the stages are run next year to get a better spot.

I am not having much luck with this car.

It was parked outside my house and a lady managed to reverse into it. I wasn't home at the time but my dad got her details, apparantly she was ok about it. I have been thinking of getting rid of it ever since it was smashed the first time, this is the final straw..
