Thought about it but they would have to respray the entire rear bumper I would imagine.

I can see what would happen with my luck, half arse colour match and then I would have a nice bumper but the wrong colour!

Oh yeah, the cops still haven't done a thing, I think I will not see my excess money again... hmmmm

Don't be suprised if you read my name in the headlines for assault accompanied by the words 'bludgeoned' and 'cinder block'

Hey Maxx, get reading on that insurance policy. I'm pretty sure that most say something along the lines of if the accident isn't your fault and you can provide the details of the at fault party, then you don't have to pay any excess. So if you've given those details to the insurance company, you shouldn't have to pay anything.

I can see Maxx's point. If a repair job's about 95%, that's probably as good as it gets. I've taken a couple back in the past where I thought the job wasn't good enough and ended up with something that was even worse. Sometimes it's just not worth the hassle. Sure, I know you've got a right to a 100% job, but that can take a lot of time and persistence in the real world and then some idiot will ding it again!

When I sold my previous car, the back bumper had been resprayed. I was never 100% happy with the job, cos the paint had been slightly scratched when the new moulding was put in, but I didn't think about it for more than a day or two after picking up the car. I told the buyer that it had been resprayed and showed them the lifetime warranty. The guy said that he had been a crash repairer in the past and it was "obviously a top job" by a quality repairer. Sometimes it doesn't pay to stress too much about details.

You could see just plain slackness, the boss got some goon to fix it,after a few rubbs the goon walks off and the boss is calling him back, saying what about here
