RONIN  Posted Today, 10:47 AM

hey voy, sorry to hear about the old intrepid going in for work. Is it going to the same place as last time atleast you know they do a good job, how bad was it

Thanks Ronin. Precious is in at a different repairer. 1 that dad knows and trusts from down here. The last 1 was in Hahndorf which did an imacualte job.

Precious is ok - she was drivable once I pulled out the million bits of plastic that shatters in the front grill. I drove it from outside Waikerie over to the farm about 30k's. Then drove it into Barmera 2day - about 50k's - no probs. As always - precious never faulters - just her driver :pinch:

When I pulled into the workshop the manager was talking to 1 of his workers who has an xr8 ute. They both cringed - they hate to see perfection in pain  They said it was mostly R&R (remove and replace). She'll be getting a new radiator, bonet, bumper bar and grilles at this stage. All the pulleys that support the fanbelt were all cracked and shatterd - still moving the fan belt around fine. The major damage was the support bar that runs along the front of the bonet. The guy had to bend the bumper back in on itself to open the bonet *cringe*

Just want her to be fixed and back on the road.

Sorry to hear that Cain. The roos are so unpredictable;even see them run down the road in front of you trying to outrun you.Hope precious is fixed nicely and quickly

Me hope the doctors make the pain go away....and repair precious as well

Sorry to hear about that mate. I bet you were like this

Fingers crossed it will be repaired as well as last time.

Yes - I was very much like that. But it all happens so fast and your just left with a dead kangaroo and a smashed up car....whats the good in that???? Theres no upside here except I get to have new bits on precious to remove all the battle damage from Tassie.

U werent a passenger this time which saves u the strain of consoling me in my darkest hour

I dont know what it is about us 2 - when your off the road so am I! Theres only 1 solution here. U've gotta stop being off the road. The rest will take care of itself.

Will catch up soon!

You had to go one better than me, didn't you Lovely Boy ... I told you that I narrowly avoided 2 large blue-tongue lizards on that stretch of road, and you had to go and do one better ...

What are the chances of 3 roos picking that particular spot to have an early morning game of cards, when along comes a high-speed Precioussss with a wired driver?

I feel for you mateee, I really do ...

That must be it....I was outraged by you narrowly missing 2 bluetongue lizards so I decided that I must plow head on into a group of kangaroos.... :fool:

u boofhead :nono:

Well,,,, we wont be doing that again

HAHA - nice! Well - I guess u can talk about it all u want....just dont include me in the conversation. :spoton:

Thanks all - Will be staying at the farm while precious gets back on her feet. Just lucky that nothing worse happened - could have easily been a lot worse (trees and grapevines on either side of the road.

Dad always said when he was teaching me to drive never go off the road - dodge where u can and take it where u have to

C u all soon.

Is anyone going to watch Classic Adelaide on the weekend?

I am going to go have a look at the prologue at Vic Park race course after work. The competition cars are meant to run from about 3ish.

Should be worth a look as there is some nice metal out this year. Last year was brilliant and I am looking forward to seeing more of the event this year.

P.S.

Sorry to hear about your car Cain, I know how you feel, best of luck with the repairs.
