Of those of you that have the brake shudder problem, have a think if you do alot of highway driving. Bet you do! that's interesting information there Harasn. We just had our brakes re-machined on the XR6 at 13,000 kays(noticed the problem was getting worse and worse). For the record the dealer didn't complain or whinge about it and, immediatly accepted the problem and fixed it. It will be interesting to see if the problem comes back.Your explanation Harasn makes alot of sence to me. Our XR6 does spend alot of its time highway driving and I feel that we are generally pretty light users on the brakes. Perhaps I should start braking harder.

It is clear to me if they continually warp they are inadequate for the 1.8t car and I'll be expecting adequate brakes to be fitted at NO extra cost. Firts up macjine, then replace rotors...all at no charge and they didnt EVER mention cost. :D They just gave me the keys and said this is what we have done, any further probs let us know. Maybe Ford should send their service guys to the Daewoo service management training course  They should send them somewhere, ahh, I don't know, Hell maybe?
