Car has been in about 10 times for this, yet noise is still there. Work done includes spot welds on body seams and rear parcel shelf.I recall on previous threads that others have have experienced the interior cabin noise around the rear parcel shelf area. Any ideas on how to rectify? As per above the dealership have tried umpteen different things with no success.I could go on but it has got to the stage where it may be time for a replacement. Takes about 10 mins to fit and only cost $34.00. A lot better than paying $140 to replace foglamp. This poses a question.... Why make plexiglas headlights but glass foglights...methinks the foggies should be plexiglass too.... or is that the new moneyspinner from Ford

Premium brakes squeal - initially dealer machined discs when less than 2,000 Km on the clock. Squeal went away for a week then returned. Next told by dealer "unable to machine discs as they are slotted rotors"; begs question how he did it the first time doesn't it? Returned with squeak - told Ford aware of issue but wait a month or so for a fix. Complained to FoMoCo in Melbourne - told they would contact dealer who would install new type of pads and this would fix the problem. Waited and waited then contacted dealer. No solution yet matey - Oh Ford said they have a fix? Bring it in then. They now fixed the problem with new pads.Persistence is not a crime.Bull sh*tting to the customer is! NighEve Member 193 Member For: 20y 5m 20d Posted 31/08/04 01:04 PM Share Posted 31/08/04 01:04 PM I have just purchased a 11/02 T ute - from the service history it has had only one warranty claim - the infamous brake shudder at 8K. Now at 38K it has a slight shudder under light braking at high speeds (slower speeds or harder braking there is no shudder). Today I spoke with two other T owners - one has a 11/02 as well (17K brakes deal), and then seriously bad 26K brake problem - currently no brake issues. Last week had a ECU reflash from occassional rough idle engine shut off problem. The other owner didn't talk about anything else but the brakes pissing him off (seems like there's a predictable trend - BAs = brake shudder imminent). However, I love ze raw power and feel on the road!!!! Given the fact most cops are gettings these beasts over those v8 ss's makes me kind of wonder what the blue oval has done for the boys in blue that we joe public dont get...
