Hey, we do have cheap petrol....$1.10/l...At current exchange rates, you pay approx $1.98 / unleaded in the UK (81p / litre). The cost is forecast to hit 90p / litre ($2.20/l)

As for tax....VAT and other associated taxes comprise 85% of the cost / litre....This equates to $1.63 to the government for each litre of petrol sold.... 1.5 times more than the cost of a litre for us !!

Fancy filling up your T with unleaded at $1.98/litre, or even $2.10/litre for premium ?...at today's prices ?

As far as PRICING OF FUEL goes !!!!!!!

The government doesnt give a sh*t!!!

The higher the price of fuel goes the MORE GST THE THIEVING PRICKS GET!!!!!

ALL TAXES SHOULD HAVE BEEN LIFTED WITH THE GST BUT THEY TOOK 10% OFF 65 cents PER LITRE AT THE TIME(STILL 50% TAX REMAINING) then put GST ON TOP!!!!!!!(THE MORE $$$$ FOR FUEL =MORE GST)

Dont forget that AUSTRALIA IS 85% self sufficent for CRUDE OIL!!!!!!

But because of WORLD PARODY PRICING we pay the equivalent WORLD PRICING FOR CRUDE , Even though it comes from "OUR BACKYARD".

IF YOU WANT TO INCREASE THE WORLD PRICE OF CRUDE " JUST DECREASE THE PRODUCTION" LIKE THE LITTLE F*CKS ARE DOING AT THE MOMENT!!!!

ALSO TALK ABOUT $3.00 PER LITRE SO WE CAN " SLOWLY SCREW THE MOTORIST " (OIL COMPANY PROFITS AND TAX)

"END OF RANT"

Sorry for that but I am f**king sick an tired of being ripped off!!!!!!!(like many others)

USA pays $1.30 PER GALLON(4 LITRES)

32.5 CENTS (US)

APPROX 50 cents aussie per litre.

GOT TO GO NOW

JUST FINALISING MY LPG XR6T DESIGN!!!!!! :nono::sofa::gooff:

I just want to know how the environment will look for our kids if we burn up all the remaining oil reserves for the next 30 years, those that think we haven't half stuffed it already will want to retract their head from the sand, you'll be able to grow mangoes in Tassie

Current thinking on global warming seems to be that it is all part of a longer term cycle (longer than our scientific records - but the trends are recorded by nature in various ways), and as it gets warmer, we will have much more fertile land and be better off.

...and I don't see how we can burn off all the oil in 30 years, especially as if it gets scarce prices alone will slow down our useage (btw. the same fear was held in the 60's, and here we are 40 years later with no sign of it running out yet...)

Hope you are right, for our kids sake

I remember being deeply concerned at school in the early 70's when they were predicting that all the oil would be gone by 2000, as I might never get to have an E-type jag. :gooff:

One argument says that as the price goes up the oil companies have more money to invest in new and better ways to explore and extract the oil. However, I do wonder how many more squashed Dinosaurs there can possibly be down there!!!!!!

Also, as the oil gets extracted, I believe that water replaces it so perhaps that is the solution to the rising sea levels caused by global warming? :sofa:

World Parody? funny parody on parity

I know what you mean about controlling production to set prices, but right at the moment some things have happened that were not really controlled (Iraq, that Russian oil company going broke, and the troubles in South America).
