I'd like to see a pic of the new sporty peddle covers the Mk II come with, hope there nothing like the FPV ones I forked out for :gooff: .

Why did you fork out them if you think they look :ermm: ???

Surely you saw a set before you ordered them?

Dads getting new MkII XR8. But there is a slight dilema. Is it true that the carpet mats with the XR logo only come in red stitch? that's what he was told. But we are getting the luxury pack in blue stitch so it would look kinda mismatched. So just asking you guys if the XR mats come in other stitch colours?

Cheers,

Dave

He must be getting it from Telstra so yes, itr true. Ask the dealer to swap them during delivery. :-)

We've got the red stitched XR mats, but the parts guy said we could pick from grey or blue also. They were $97 for the sedan and only about $10 cheaper for the ute

my mats came with blue stitch, but I didn't specify colour.

to be honest, the blue isn't really a close match with the colour of the car.

So can we place orders now for the Mk2?? Has anyone got a price yet??

If not, are you placing an order without knowing the price??

Cypher

Yes - I have placed an order. Pricing was not confirmed - Dealer said there MAYBE a 1-2% price rise. If there is then I'm thinking it will be compensated for by the T56.

Like haz, I too have been waiting for the BAII since May.

I was hoping that a 5 speed auto will be offered. Seeing that that's not on the cards now and it might be a 6 speed sometime next year and it might be the jag box and that the jag box now might not be up to it, etc., Im gonna go for the T56. Its good in a way as Im partial to manuals anyway.

The specs are;

Sillouette, T56, luxury pack, premium brakes, momo wheel, and maybe a sunroof if the price is right.

Regards,

Max

Yeah like FPRXR-6 said they are now available in a large range of colours...

I got the blue ones when I bought my car 5 months ago... I would have liked blueprint ones to match the stitching.. but hey.. they were free.. what can ya do? :)

Cant be from Telstra....the Mk2's arent on their car list yet so you cant order one.

I "have to" get a new car in April, and am not sure yet what I will get.

I will likely get a Mk2 something, and it will either be the XR6T or the XR8. In manual. Will have to see how the XR8 is to drive. Might be slower and not handle as well, but Im very tempted to use the opportunity to drive another different new car. It does sound rather nice as well. And I can safely say I have "conquered" my Xr6T and whilst it has easily been the best car I have owned, I dont have anything more to "learn" from it, if that makes sense. So a change might be a good idea. Learning the characteristics of the XR8 cant hurt. Worse case, if a test drive shows I prefer the T, then I will just get a Mk2 T and play with the 6 speed.

PS, anyone notice that 1st gear in the Mk2 was being lowered (or was it the diff...cant remember). but the result will be faster 0-100 times I would imagine.

Wish the XR6T was being upped to 260kW or similar. Bit lame they didnt do that.

So could be in either the 8 or the 6T. Would consider the 6L LS2 in the SS, except it wont be out then.

Sure you can. You get whatever they produce in the month of delivery. A mate of mine ordered a AUIII and got a BA. Mine's coming in late September so I'm hoping I'll get the first of the MKIIs off the line.
