Ok, I will take the bait. Agreed, at speeds between 135 and 200 the wipers suck. Above 200 kph, you don't need the wipers anyway.

But given our 110 speed limit, I use Rain-x. Wonderful stuff.

And whilst we are at it, at speeds above 200 in the rain, I can't get the bas*ard of a car to go around corners. :spoton:

If it realy bugs you, you could buy some wiper blade assy's for a EF,EL Falcon - maybe even AU. (they used to have the aerofoil on the wiper arm.)

Mark.

Does anybody remember back to before the BA was released? I read plenty on it and remember all kinds of things being written about minimal wind noise and maximum airflow over the car.

Hence the reason the windscreen washers were removed from the bonnet, hence the reason the wipers were placed lower, under the line of the bonnet... maybe it was also the reason they got rid of the aerofoil on the wipers? So when they weren't being used, the wind didn't whistle over them?

Sure, I could be completely wrong, but just a thought.

:pinch: I think that's the very reason.
