I think that saying slow down or that it ok for wipers not to work at 140km/h is acceptable....ITS NOT ACCEPTABLE Guess you'll be trading it in for an M5 then - it seems that they are OK I will be, V10... mmmmmm Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/12360-skippin-wipers/page/3/#findComment-155245 Share on other sites

Posted 16/08/04 12:31 PM Share Posted 16/08/04 12:31 PM After a recent trip to Melbourne I was driving at speed (over 140) in the wet and the wipers were skipping badly. On every car I have owned (post 1980) they have had a small wing on the wiper arms, but for some stupid reason the XR does not have this feature. I really do not want to go to the parts store and buy an ugly 3 slatted clipon arm, like I had on my 1971 charger, I think Ford should offer a retro fit recall as this is dangerous due to the wipers inability to wipe the windows. What is ford thinking ? I see them on EVERY car including the several Daewoo LAnos fleet cars I own. If it realy bugs you, you could buy some wiper blade assy's for a EF,EL Falcon - maybe even AU. (they used to have the aerofoil on the wiper arm.) Mark.
