Ok, I definately don't condone people who talk on their phone while they drive, but in this instance... I see whay it's bad now...

anyways.. this *beep* on the phone is driving all over the road (coming straight at me) I give him a quick high beam salute, but he's already too close to recover.. so I take evasive action, hit a gutter and he kept going, oblivious to the damage he had just caused...

I got his plate but there was nothing the police or my insurance company could do due to myself being the only party with damage.. (RACQ even said perhaps you should have just hit him!) can you believe the state of our insurance system these days... I mean f*ck... you avoid someone and you still are out of pocket ($1000 for a claim)..

DEEEEAAMMMMM!

anyways... anyone know if it's possible to fix? or am I up for either a new mag wheel?... it's f*cking pissed me off heaps because I'm always ANALY pendantic about gutters and pot holes...

well that's enough of a rant for me.. see the damage for yourself.. .and ask me if I'm happy!

:gooff::kissmy: :cussing:

jesus that really sucks

The road rules in this country (at times) are a joke.... next time..... turn around and pass him them jam your brakes on so he hits you in the back...

then you get the whole lot paid for........

Anyway I have had a couple of accidents along the same lines... so I really feel for you. :kissmy:

Flippin bizarre that this should happen to a guy that works for a phone company, where I've just purchased 2 hard wired hands free kits for the chook & I.

Sorry to hear of your agony Matt.

Looks like fairly minor damage. What speed did you hit? Are there any extra noises now? Does the wheel feel loose at all? Might want to give the suspension a once over, just to be sure. My gutter incident resulted in several $k worth of repairs :google:

It was only 40kph in a back street luckily, so by the sounds of things, it could have been a whole heap worse?! :(

suspension seems fine, steering is normal, wheels don't appear damaged anywhere else.

looking back on it all, it could have been the much worse, like the whole side of the car kissing the concrete!
