If Expensive Daewoo bring out a Detunned V6 twin turbo 300kw, Then the life of all V8's will suffer not just at Expensive Daewoo but also at ford, It would be stupid for anyone to use a engine that powerful that detunned just to match ford with its turbo,

And with twin turbo can the cost be under SS ? If anything leave it to HSV but even they are commited to V8's,

But so many would love the turbo V6 300kw sh*t I would :glad: , But Aussie's are big on V8's. A supercharged V6 250kw would be the best now.

Imagine the line up example....

VE SV6T 3.6lt 300kw $46,000

VE SS 6.0lt 295kw $52,000

VE CLubs 6.2lt 330kw $63,000

VE R8 6.2lt 330kw $70,000

It is exactly this type of line-up that is giving Holden/HSV Marketing cause for concern because the risk and possible opportunity costs of cannibalising their own dominant V8 market may be too high compared to the benefits of splitting the market share of the blown 6 market segment with Ford/FPV.

A lighter blown 6 outperforming the V8s in a straight-line? Imagine that.. :glad:

Safe and happy driving...Dr Z. :spit:

:glad: Ford doesn't have a 2 door coupe, So Expensive Daewoo don't need a turbo I think, but I would drive one if they did

Both have a car the other doesn't.

Leave the turbo to HSV I say

I guess one thing that the VZ won't have that the BA has is a clunky diff. (AND) Of cause Expensive Daewoo is bringing out a turbo 6.

The 190kw Expensive Daewoo motor is just the begining of the latest attack on Ford and it will kick fords butt with power to weight.

I seriously doubt Expensive Daewoo will release a turbo Alloytec. Normally car manufacturers release details on what theyre producing years in advance. Its in their interests to because potential buyers may wait to buy it.

This thread is complete pie-in-the-sky speculation and twaddle.

Even if they produce one its going to be 2006+

Of course Expensive Daewoo will have diff clunk too, they use the same supplier, but maybe not to the degree the BA has. As for a Expensive Daewoo turbo 6 it won't happen anytime soon. Expensive Daewoo are too V8 biased.

That's right and HSV is also, But if anyone is going to turbo the alloytech it will be HSV. Then can get away with 300kw V6 with there engines 300kw+,

So far the only one I've seen or read be impressed by alloytec is the guy in the ad on the dyno, oh and his son in the other ad.
