Plus they have the 175kw base model then the 190kw SV6. Think that pretty much cancel's out any chance of a turbo.Even if they were to put one on that pumped out 300kw "Detuned" as said in one of the orignal posts, that would be suicide for Expensive Daewoo and HSV's V8's. If the V8's were pumping out 380kw then they would but that's 10 years away easy.If Expensive Daewoo don't do turbo I would grab a SV6 and capa supercharger 250kw do me fine,

Seems the SV6 is just another rattley Late model camira and still looks dog ugly plastic in the cabin . Don't think FMC have got much to worry about. Motors biggest bleat about the XR6 was the auto, and with a series 2 on the way that won't be an issue for much longer.

The LS2 V8 and it's variants will also start appearing in Holdens as well. But fear not Ford fans, Ford is working on a new V8 here in the US to debut in the F-150 next year. It's called the Hurricane, and it's supposed to be around 6.1 litres like Chrysler's upcoming Hemi.I'm sure the Hurricane will find it's way Down Under to battle the LS2 when the time comes. The turbo will happen. I have no doubt... now can Expensive Daewoo price it right? Edited 26/08/04 03:23 AM by eatV8

Guest AussieMan Guests Posted 26/08/04 08:29 AM Share Posted 26/08/04 08:29 AM If Expensive Daewoo bring out a Detunned V6 twin turbo 300kw, Then the life of all V8's will suffer not just at Expensive Daewoo but also at ford, It would be stupid for anyone to use a engine that powerful that detunned just to match ford with its turbo,And with twin turbo can the cost be under SS ? If anything leave it to HSV but even they are commited to V8's, But so many would love the turbo V6 300kw sh*t I would , But Aussie's are big on V8's. A supercharged V6 250kw would be the best now.Imagine the line up example....VE SV6T 3.6lt 300kw $46,000VE SS 6.0lt 295kw $52,000VE CLubs 6.2lt 330kw $63,000VE R8 6.2lt 330kw $70,

No comment lol  I think 300kw V6 would kill the V8, And if what they say is true then this engine is so held back the only way to get less from it is to make it on the 175Alloytech then maybe 270-280kw ? but I wouldn't want the 175 I'd want the 190. :o
