yeah, they are obviously trying to put us off doing that, but as well know, that's basically what Craig (geea) has done! low 12s with 116mph can't be wrong!!

I doubt Herrod would put anyone off being a Mod Guru. l think they just can't be talking to anyone who knows too much :lol:

If Herrod aren't able to help you try Amberley Auto's. They also are a Melbourne Chiptorque dealer. Give them a ring on 97931616 and ask for Rob or Ian. They are very helpful and will listen to what you want to do.

I've had a herrod exhaust put on my car and found them to be generally helpful and interested in what you want done. Until you ask them about a Xede upgrade. Thye say that they will do it but I get the impression that their not overly keen because of warranty being void.

They have a very good relationship with Ford and most of their mods seem to be OK with Ford. Maybe they are getting some heat from Ford not to mod the turbo.

yeah, you could be right...I mean ford know that the gearboxes are the weak link in the drivetrain. So if anyone ever breaks a gearbox, they'll just say well it wasn't modded by the right people.
