At the momment I would say Shannen Noel is the worst there is, How the hell does a stupid yobbo that sings Barnsey covers get so popular!!!!

Ummm...What About Me is cover of a song by Moving Pictures lead singer Alex Smith, nothing to do with Jimmy Barnes.

Cosima, one of the Australian Idol runners up from last year does a cover of Cold Chisel's When The War Is Over

If you hear any of those words you can be pretty sure the song (or rant) has got something to do with, shooting someone, rooting someone, robbing someone, killing someone, or pimping someone.

And the problem is :spoton:

TUPAC,ICE CUBE,SNOOP DOG,EMINEM etc etc Brillant in there own right

There is a few observations I have noticed with the rappers you have mentioned.

TUPAC - Dead (gangland killing, so I believe)

ICE CUBE - Would rather be an actor

SNOOP DOG - Also trying to be an actor, and lending his dog  ugly gace to crappy video games (True Crime: Streets of LA)

EMINEM - Wife bashing, drug taking, gunslinging, homophobe. Need anyone say more.

But hey, whatever floats your boat.

And you know each one

JOB DONE

I have no time for anything that has no soul or passion.

Music is our most emotive form of communication and it's purpose (as far as I'm concerned) is to evoke an emotional response.

Very wise words Zen Master Ken, but this should be expanded to more than music, anything purporting to be art that is an excercise in commercialism leaves me cold!

People such as Pro Hart, Darcy Doyle and many other 'Aussie' painters. let alone all the manufactured bands that are about nowdays. The day you let money cloud your vision of how and what you create is the day you become a W H O R E to the system,

Sorry, seen it in so many artists...

Don't care who sings it.

Waltzing Matilda should not be allowed at the Rugby Union. It scares the crap out of our chappies after the Haka has been completed and is not within the spirit of the game.

Anything that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, or that makes me close my eyes and focus soley on the music. As an example, Division Bell by Pink Floyd played very loud.

I have a particular liking for good guitar bands, e.g., Zep, Floyd, Purple, etc., etc. so many to mention really.

Anything played with PASSION! :nono:
