Well, as the topic suggest, I "ran" into GJBOOTH the other night and we gave the cars a bit of a squirt.

Bit of a history, GJB is running an auto with APS 1 kit installed, giving him a total of approx 235 (give or take) rwKw, whilst im running stock manual with an exhaust and filter, giving me a total of 213 rwKw.

All I can say is DAMMMMMMM that car is fast, I got owned by about 2 car lengths :spoton:

To top it off, the exhaust note on his car is sweet 2 :)

*Shakes fist* Ill get you yet GJB, ill get you yet LOL

Dean's Phantom is a sweet ride and the current Muffler set up has a almost V8 type growl. I got to hear it when I was stopped was in front most of the time ;) Of course 213rwkw is still a good amount of power for a almost stock 'T' and I have promised to show him the difference when he goes Phase I probably some time after I have gone Phase II, ahh keeping up with the Jones. :)

"Of course it was a sealed private road and no animals were harmed in production of said Automobile test!"

A couple of friends and fellow 'T' pilots have asked to go for a run to test the difference. This way they can actually see first hand the affect of the Phase I compared to their cars.

I gave the keys to Dean to qive my car a run so could hear the exhaust and it does sound sweet as the Turbo spins up under load, on the inside its just quiet.

Regards

GJ

My exhaust is stock, just having the boost turned up with the Phase I gives it a better note under power. Now XR6ISM has a nice exhaust maybe he can share the details here for you.

WWOOOAAAA I have to say, the Phase 1 kit in your T is "SENSATIONAL". I cant belive the difference between yours and mine..........to all the guys that are thinking about upgrading, DO IT :). DAM, im still grining.

But yeah, for a stock exhaust that's on your car, it sounds bloody sweet, especially on the freeway doing 110 or so then giving it a squirt (this is when I have to say " I told you so).............I wonder how the Phase 2 will sounds under the same conditions..........I think we need to do some more testing soon :)

At the moment my exhaust is 3" from the dump pipe back. Im running a high flow cat with no middle muffler, ive only got the rear muffler fitted. This configuration has given me the most power, as GJ mentioned, 213 (.6 to be exact) at the wheels (stock I had 202.5).

I also found that the most restrictive section of the exhaust was the cat section, as the exhaust goes from a single dump pipe into the cat, then dual exit into the rest of the system. With cat back systems the most I achieved was 205.7 so as you can see there is power to be made by changing the cat section.

Please NOTE: If any of you guys are interested in fitting a simular exhaust id advise you wait a bit longer. My exhaust is still in the testing stage and I am yet to add another muffler to stop the slight overboosting I get from such a free flowing exhaust (only on cold nights and when the car is pushed).

If anybody is interested in any further info, ive tried and dyno'd about 5 or 6 systems so far, PM me and ill give you some more info.
