Was in finland in 92 and got to go into a rally car (celica, the same as the one saintz won in) with mikael sungstrom (use to be one of the top guys). Anyway it was the middle of winter in a forest on a road just wide enough for the car... if you stuck your hand out the window it would of been ripped off by a tree... we hit a top speed of 190 kmh... felt a lot faster in the environment we were in... the tyres had those spikes on them so that we could keep on the icy road... spikes were about 1cm long.... at the crest of a hill we actually got airborn for quite some distance... was a great experience :spoton:

Any one hear what happened here in SA ?

Four killed, estimated speed 200kph,wet road, death impact was 3 meters high on a tree, three meters HIGH,three fcuking meters high, think about it,and they say 3 wernt wearing seatbelts.

Leave your speeding for the track folks, much better to drive home in one piece than get driven home in a box!!!

260km/h in my WRX that I had a few years back. It wasnt standard ofcourse and that was with my wife in the car and on the F3 down the steep hill just before Gosford exit. The next closest was in my Subaru Legacy GTB 242km/h on the way back from Picton. The only reason I knew I was doing that speed is for the electronic speed/boost and turbo timer meter it has. It has a peak memory recall.
