Guest Tancxr6 Guests Posted 13/03/03 05:54 AM Share Posted 13/03/03 05:54 AM yeah I heard about the 6-speed auto too. that's why I thought the series 2 might be worth the wait, but if its not coming out til next year then I'd rather order one now. these cars are that good, that it won't make too much difference which series u get. that's why I thought I'd c if anyone knew when the series 2 was coming out. I've heard late this year and I've heard late next year. if I was to get the car in late august (that's if I ordered now), it might be worth waiting a couple extra months to get the series 2 (that's if it came out this year).also, does anyone have any pics of a blueprint with aftermarket wheels? I want 18" wheels but don't know whether to get the ford 18s or just wait and get aftermarket jobs....thanx for all your input so far.................this website is great!!! Guest MercuryXR6T Guests Posted 13/03/03 07:14 AM Share Posted 13/03/03 07:14 AM I was about to order a new blueprint xr6t with leather, premium sound, seq-shift, and momo shifter. and delivery is going to be a staggering 4 to 5 months!!!!!!I want to know if I should hold out for series 2 BA's to come out. does anyone know anything about when they are coming out? or whether they are worth waiting for? I would wait til the end of this year, but anymore than that will be too long.any feedback would be appreciated.p.s. I love these cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tancxr6,If your are prepared to travel, talk to the Westpoint Ford dealership in Melbourne. They are a large dealership (and a sponsor of this site).Craig Waller is the stock controller. Good bloke. Hey that's me! :D If I'd stuck to my local dealer in Hobart I would have been looking at May/June Delivery at the the earliest. Not to mention they wouldn't budge from RRP.Craig Waller has given me an excllent deal and my car will be ready in a couple of weeks!
Guest forester Guests Posted 20/03/03 11:19 AM Share Posted 20/03/03 11:19 AM there arnt that many bugs. series two wont come out for at least another year and ahalf. I say get it now, dont forget if your trading in a car it will be worth even less by the time series two comes out!!!Yeah but if they buy a series one it will go down in value even more tahn your current ride so that blows that argument. If you're worried about buying a car and watching the value fall then buy a pushie. Put an order in with deposit now for a series 2. The BA is a big step forward but there are probs which will be fixed by series 2. ALso the aftermarket boys will have done their homework on aftermarket bolt ones by then. Let the series 1 guys blow things up before a reliable level of aftermarket tuning is found I say.

Guest Mr Plow Guests Posted 08/09/03 01:19 PM Share Posted 08/09/03 01:19 PM Hey guys, sorry if you have discussed this b4, I did a search and it came up with all sorts of crap, easier just to ask B) I am planning on ordering an XR6t in Nov-Dec. But I was wondering how long the wait would be and when (if?) the series 2 will be out, should I wait till then? Still researching the Auto/manual option as well, anybody got some (accurate) info on how much power either tranny will take before they smash... I know the Auto is excellent, and don't want to re-write the debate on shifting woes Just who has broken either and how? Thanks guys, Go easy Iam a semi-converted Expensive Daewoo man

Or another Mr Plow, if so, welcome!l dont think anyone knows for sure when the BA2 will come out, l can only regurgitate what l have read, but it seems that the Terriotry wont be released until June or later next year. Its doubtful that Ford would bring out a BA2 until the Territory is released to the market so they can concentrate on getting it right. So maybe August 04 for the BA2? Besides, the BA is selling so well there is no need to release an update just yet. Good for resale for existing owners. The VY2 Commie hit the market only 10 months after the VY1 and that's gotta hurt BTW, l wouldnt wait for the BA2, you only live once

If bracken hears that you're thinking about coming out of the closet he'll give me a hammering!!! Next time I see you we'll go for a spin (if you're lucky I'll let you drive). By the time we're finished the thoughts of Expensive Daewoo will be gone from your head. One of the guys on here has the APS Stage II (I think) and mentioned that he could feel the box getting a little narky. There are some other boxes available for around a $6500 changeover if you're interested or you can go the auto which seems to be standing up to a fair bit of belting.PM or email me and we'll organise a drive.(edit) ask iaschmidt or ninka about the box as I've browsed through the sticky modification thread and they both seem to be modded.
