Maybe this has been covered but I couldnt find it so I ask some of you loyal and most knowledgable individuals out there.

I put mine in for its 3,000 service, Apart from a throttle body replacement I discovered what sounded like an overspooling sound coming from the turbo at around 3,500 - 4,00 rpm gear changes (manual). I thought that's weird, its not wasting I wonder what it is.

I pick the car up from the dealer and he stated yes a fault has been identified by Ford that causes that but they dont have a fix for it yet. I said what, no fix, what is it, standard reply was "I dont know but they are working on it, it doesnt affect your performance"

Does anyone else have this sound on gear changes or can they shed light on the matter. I am sure Garrett would have perfected ther turbo's by now so it must be a Ford prblem. :spoton:

from what I understand the wastegate on the xr6 turbo is electronically controlled by the ecu, so there might be a problem there, as yeah, I am sure Garrett has got there sh*t together.
